Janitra Underwood is the Title I Coordinator for Lakeshore Elementary.  The Title I department is responsible for coordinating Title I programs at school sites, while integrating knowledge of the Every Child Succeeds Act (ESSA) to promote equity while meeting the needs of students from diversified backgrounds. The Title I department also ensures that efficient profesional development is provided to teachers of Title I schools, communication between school and stakeholders takes place, and that parents have knowledge of the curriculum and assessments used in the school.  Working together, we aim to close gaps in the educational process of our students to increase student achievement.
